Even though the task will be evaluated positively, given it is not a compulsory activity, you'll achieve a higher mark if your use of grammar and vocabulary is correct. Punctuation will be also taken into account, as well as cohesion and coherence. Finally, you won't be evaluated on answering the final question: that's the way you evaluate yourself, by knowing you're capable of facing and solving any problem.
Introducción:
If you could travel around the world in search of artistic creations, where would you like to go? There are so many places in which we can find the most amazing works by talented artists! Whether you are fond of classical portraits, impressionist art or, why not, street sculptures representing historical events or daily routines of a given community, I encourage you to start this four-day tour across the USA and find the mysterious place.
The main objective of this task is to consolidate the contents included in Unit 7: Let’s Travel around the World! Follow the instructions step by step (don’t skip any step), answer the questions and do the activities proposed, annotating your answers in your notebooks. Write the information from the links provided that you consider relevant for your research. By the end of the task you’ll have probably guessed the name of the mysterious place, which will be displayed in class in the last session of Unit 7.
As you know, this is an optional activity, so it will be evaluated positively. You have 19 days to complete the task and solve the mystery, and you can carry it out individually or in group.
Of we go!!!!
Your tour begins here:
DAY 1
If you want to visit the MET you will need to use public transport or take a taxi. Choose one of the options and write in your notebook a dialogue representing that scene.
What kind of art did you find at the MET? Name at least three works you liked.
It’s been a long day and you’re exhausted. You remember that Mark, your American penfriend, once told you about a good hotel in E 45th Street & Madison Avenue.

A film scene is being shot, and you catch the director’s attention. He proposes you to participate as a secondary actor in the next scene, giving life to someone dressed like a Middle Age lady, who asks the protagonist how to get to Arthur’s Kingdom. He says he will pay you a large sum of money. Will you accept?
Show him how good an actor/actress you are by writing a short script of the scene in your notebook. After that, read it aloud and check your artistic talent.
Some time later you run into a homeless old man who hands you a yellow leaflet. Read it:
“The best artists in the world are fameless”. There’s a picture of a wooden sculpture and below there is a name you don’t understand: Sabarikwo of Ouazumon.
DAY 4
You get up early and decide to hire a van with your classmates. Have a look at the fees and discuss with them if you can afford it by means of a short dialogue:
