In this unit we will discuss the concept of beauty, if it is really in the eye of the beholder or if there are certain rules we unconsciuosly follow. Some mathematical aspects, like the golden ratio.

Together with Donald Duck and Monty Python we will investigate the secrets of beauty!

the assignement for the students is to write an essay about the topic of 300 words.

Beauty has become one of the most important things in our daily lives. In every direction we look, we see posters of beautiful women and handsome men wearing beautiful clothes, driving beautiful cars or living in beautiful houses.

We too, are at least once a day conserned about our looks. "Don't I look just fabulous in this dress?" or "God, today is such a bad hair day, I shouldn't even go to work!"

So what is it that we can agree withdifferent people on weather something's beautiful or not? Is beauty really in the eye of the beholder or are there certain rules we unconsciuosly follow?

Is there a mathematical explenation to what is considered beautiful?

Together with Donald Duck and Monty Python we will investigate the secrets of beauty!

Tarea

After watching the films we will have a discussion round and afterwards you will write an essay on the topic. 300 words.

Proceso

1- short introduction from teacher.

2- In a mind map discuss a little about the concept of beauty. What is beautiful, what is not? Does it depend on the sex, on the nationality, on the era we live in...?

3- watch attentive the films given by the teacher

4- write an essay of 300 words about the topic.
