Present Simple and Present Continuous

Present simple and Present continuous.

We use Present simple for things that we do with a time frequency (habits, routines). Those things are true in general.
We also need to use a frequency adverb when we talk about a routine.

FREQUENCY ADVERBS.

ALWAYS      SIEMPRE

OFTEN           MUY FRECUENTEMENTE

USUALLY      USUALMENTE

SOMETIMES A VECES

RARELY        RARAMENTE

NEVER           NUNCA

• SUBJECT + FREQUENCY ADVERB (OPTIONAL) + INFINITIVE VERB + COMPLEMENT

We use the Present Continuous to talk about something that is happening now.It also can be used to talk about future arragenments.

We've got to add -ingending to the verb. This form is called gerund.

• SUBJECT + VERB TO BE + ING ENDING VERB + COMPLEMENT.
  

EXAMPLE.

"Jack is watching television. He is not playing the guitar. 

But jack has guitar, he often plays it and he plays very well."

Is Jack playing the guitar?    No, he isn't       (PRESENT CONTINUOUS) = Now, at the time of speaking

Does he play the guitar?       Yes, he does        (PRESENT SIMPLE) = In general, all the time or sometimes.
